Overview

In 2025, the Pirate Festival also took place on an August afternoon in Maximilianpark Hamm. The proven program of treasure hunt, saber fight theater, and craft stations unfolded in a relaxed summer atmosphere, with high participation from families from Hamm, the Soest district, and the eastern Ruhr area.

The 2025 edition ran for the classic four hours on a Sunday afternoon. Families from Hamm and the surrounding area used the day at Maxipark as a day trip with a pirate accent. The treasure hunts, short theater performances, craft stations, and the walk the plank were well-received, and the weather cooperated.

The format is firmly established in the Maxipark event calendar and is one of the most visited themed festivals of the summer season. Immediately after the 2025 edition, the date for 2026 was announced.
