Overview
The 2025 edition of Pictoplasma also took place at Silent Green Kulturquartier in Berlin-Wedding, reaffirming the festival's reputation as the world's leading platform for contemporary character design. Over four days, it featured international conference contributions, curated animation screenings, exhibitions, and an open Visitors' Day with a character market. Pictoplasma 2025 once again provided a top-tier forum for the growing community between illustration, animation, game design, and brand communication, setting the stage for the 2026 anniversary edition.
The 21st edition of Pictoplasma in May 2025 brought the character design community back to Berlin-Wedding's Silent Green. Conference talks, animation programs, symposia, and an open Sunday market marked the festival's rhythm, as in previous years. With over 20 international speakers from illustration, animation, and game design, Pictoplasma 2025 confirmed its leading position in the scene and laid the groundwork for the 22nd edition in 2026 under the theme "In and Out of Character.".
