In 2025, the Picknick Open-Air Cinema once again attracted film fans to the Sculpture Garden at the Torhaus on three Friday evenings in June and July. As every year, the focus was on a summer evening with live music, a tombola, and food catering — the concept of picnic and film under the starry sky has been successful for years with regulars and newcomers alike. Organizer: Stadtmarketing Elmshorn.

The 2025 edition followed the proven format with three film evenings, a live music pre-show around 10 PM, and a tombola with filled picnic baskets. As always, bringing your own food and drinks was expressly permitted — many regulars took advantage of this for elaborate picnics with friends.

The Picknick Open-Air Cinema is one of the most charming summer events in Elmshorn's event calendar and is an important image builder for the city marketing.
