In 2025, the Picknick Open-Air Cinema once again attracted film fans to the Sculpture Garden at the Torhaus on three Friday evenings in June and July. As every year, the focus was on a summer evening with live music, a tombola, and food catering — the concept of picnic and film under the starry sky has been successful for years with regulars and newcomers alike. The 2025 edition followed the proven format with three film evenings, a live music pre-show around 10 PM, and a tombola with filled picnic baskets. As always, bringing your own food and drinks was expressly permitted — many regulars took advantage of this for elaborate picnics with friends.
The Picknick Open-Air Cinema is one of the most charming summer events in Elmshorn's event calendar and is an important image builder for the city marketing.
