The 69th Culture and Homeland Festival on Pentecost in 2025 ran as usual for four days in Sonnewalde Castle Park. With a parade, club mile, open-air stage, children's activities, and dance evenings, the Sonnewalder Fest- und Kulturverein offered the proven program. Preparations for the 70th anniversary edition were already announced.

69th Pentecost Festival 2025 — Prelude to the Anniversary

The 69th edition in 2025 was already marked by the upcoming anniversary. The cultural association used the Pentecost festival to announce the 70th edition in 2026 and to recruit volunteers for the expanded anniversary edition. The format was classic, with a parade, dancing in the festival tent, Sunday service, and morning pint (Frühschoppen) — the typical components of a 70-year Pentecost tradition in the Niederlausitz.
