Overview

In 2025, the Pfingst Open Air celebrated its 40th anniversary in Löwental, Essen-Werden. With a specially curated anniversary edition, the volunteer-organized festival once again attracted several thousand guests. Bands from the Ruhr area, the German indie scene, and singer-songwriters shaped the day; the electronic meadow provided a dance atmosphere. Free admission, donations for the association welcome.

The 2025 anniversary edition marked the 40th Pfingst Open Air. Various acts from the indie, singer-songwriter, and folk-singer genres performed on the main stage. The electronic meadow offered DJ sets as a second performance space.

As every year, the 'Free & Outdoors' concept brought together families, students, hikers, and concert fans in Löwental – an atmosphere that has been unique in the Ruhr area for 40 years. The festival association reported a positive outcome and announced the 41st edition for Pentecost 2026.
