Pfingst-Frühschoppen Oberhammelwarden — Pentecost at the Shooting Club

The Pfingst-Frühschoppen at the Schützenhaus Oberhammelwarden is a traditional spring event in the calendar of the Schützenverein Oberhammelwarden. In the middle of the Pentecost season, on Whit Sunday, the club opens the doors of the Schützenhaus for a long festive day program — the Frühschoppen in the morning seamlessly transitions into an all-day celebration.

Whit Sunday 2026 falls on May 24, 2026. From 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM — over twelve hours — the Schützenhaus offers food and drink, social gatherings, and musical accompaniment. Those who arrive early can enjoy the classic Frühschoppen with beer, bratwurst, and conversation; those who arrive in the evening will experience the festive evening with live music or a DJ.

Sociability as the Club's Anchor

For the Schützenverein Oberhammelwarden, the Pfingst-Frühschoppen is more than just a Volksfest (folk festival): it is a social anchor of club life, attracting guests far beyond its membership. Families, neighbors, and club friends from the surrounding districts of Elsfleth use the Pentecost holiday for a visit.

Program from Frühschoppen to Festive Evening

Typically, the day is divided into three phases: Frühschoppen (morning) with beer, bratwurst, and musical accompaniment. Lunch and Afternoon with meals, coffee, cake, and family entertainment. Festive Evening with live music, dancing, and socializing until 11:30 PM.
