The Palatinate's Oktoberfest in a large marquee at GATE99 with Wiesn bands, Family Friday, and Halloween Party
Within just a few years, the Pfalzwiesen have established themselves as the most important Wiesn event in the eastern Palatinate. The organizer is Pfalzwiesen GbR, led by the Frankenthal restaurateur and event organizer who already operates the established GATE99 event location on Mahlastraße. The marquee is specially erected for the Pfalzwiesen each year, seats several hundred guests, and is equipped with professional stage technology.
Concert evenings take place on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 6:30 PM. The mix of regional cover bands, party groups, and occasional guest appearances by nationally known Wiesn acts makes the program interesting for a broad audience. The Family Friday traditionally kicks off each weekend and offers brass music, children's activities, and free admission for adults accompanied by children.
The Pfalzwiesen cuisine combines classic Bavarian Wiesn specialties such as Hendl (roast chicken), Brez'n (pretzels), and Schweinsbraten (roast pork) with Palatinate classics like Saumagen (stuffed pig's stomach) and Leberknödel (liver dumplings). Beer specialties come from the region, and wine primarily from Palatinate vintners.
According to current plans, the 2026 edition includes five concert evenings spread over three weekends in October: Wiesn Playboys, Frontal Party Pur, Jens Huthoff and Band, Krachleder, and the concluding bigFM Halloween Party on October 31st.
The current program is based on the official announcement by the organizer on pfalzwiesen.de. Any extensions or updates will be published in late summer 2026.
Doors open for concerts at 6:30 PM each evening. Tickets are available in advance, with remaining tickets sold at the box office. Palatinate-Bavarian cuisine served in the marquee.
