Overview
In 2025, the Petersberg Concerts once again took place on the festival meadow in front of the Grabenkaponniere I of the Petersberg Citadel in early September. Several pop, rock, and indie acts accompanied Erfurt's late summer with open-air concerts against the backdrop of the Mariendom Cathedral and St. Severus Church.
Petersberg 2025 — Pop Under the Open Sky
In September 2025, the Petersberg Citadel once again opened its doors for the summer concerts. The festival meadow in front of Grabenkaponniere I — a quarter-elliptical brick structure serving as a natural stage backdrop — provided the characteristic setting for open-air performances with fortress walls and a city panorama. Pop, rock, indie, and singer-songwriters alternated over several evenings, with thousands of visitors experiencing Erfurt's city center in a summery pop guise.
