Overview
The 2025 edition of the Pentecost Pilgrimage Munich-Rosenheim to Altötting once again combined popular piety and the pilgrimage experience. Several pilgrimage groups from the Archdiocese of Munich-Freising and the Rosenheim region walked between Good Friday and Whit Monday to the Bavarian Marian shrine.
As every year, the pilgrimage offered a framework of common songs, devotions, and quiet stages along the routes in Upper Bavaria. The conclusion on Whit Monday was the solemn entry from Heiligenstatt to Altötting with the festival mass in the Basilica of St. Anna.
