Peene brennt — Vorpommersche Landesbühne — Edition 2025

»Die Peene brennt« 2025 was performed in September in the theatre courtyard of the Vorpommersche Landesbühne on the Peene harbour in Anklam. On several evenings in the first and second week of September, professional actors from the state theatre, students from the Vorpommern Theatre Academy (Zinnowitz), as well as the amateur group »Die Peenebrenner«, the Fritz Reuter Ensemble, and the Anklam Carnival Club performed together on stage.

As in previous years, the play told episodes from Anklam's city history. Music, dance, and spectacular fire effects made the format a multimedia open-air experience. As every year, the Vorpommersche Landesbühne, headquartered in Anklam, was the organiser.
