Overview
In 2025, the town of Mittenwalde continued its regular Paul Gerhardt devotions and concerts, without the large festival week format — the twelve-day festival week is exclusively reserved for the 2026 anniversary year for the 350th anniversary of his death.
In preparation for the 2026 anniversary year, several smaller events accompanied the commemoration of Paul Gerhardt in 2025: Sunday services in St. Moritz Church, song devotions in the summer, and city tours through the Paul-Gerhardt-Haus. The Tourist Information increasingly marketed the town as Paul-Gerhardt-Stadt and prepared the audience for the upcoming festival week.
