The first Parchim Book and Comic Fair PaBuCo took place in 2025 as a one-day premiere in the Parchim Stadthalle. Hundreds of book lovers, comic fans, and colourfully costumed cosplayers made the new fair a success. The enthusiastic response led the town to expand the format to two days for 2026.
Review PaBuCo 2025
With the 2025 premiere, Parchim ventured into new territory with PaBuCo: a fair that brings together classic book culture and young comic and pop culture under one roof. The Stadthalle was filled with authors, comic artists, and a colourful audience of bookworms and cosplayers.
Readings, signing sessions, and a cosplay competition marked the day. The high demand and positive feedback convinced the organisers — the town of Parchim, the public library, and author Sabine Reifenstahl — to expand the second edition in 2026 to two full days.
