Overview

The 2025 edition of Paradise Must Be Nice continued the festival's location-distributed concept, using several Berlin venues with a program spanning experimental music, ambient, noise, and performance art. International and Berlin-based artists – including Abdullah Miniawy – developed live sets that tested the boundaries between sacred spaces and electronic avant-garde. The edition solidified the young festival's reputation as a curatorially distinctive address in Berlin's experimental music scene.

The 2025 edition built upon the established three-venue logic: an opening night at the Zwingli Church featuring intimate, acoustic formats, a middle night in a monumental church, and a festival closing in a post-industrial venue. Live performances and gatherings explored the connections between experimental music, ambient, noise, punk, and performance art – program lines the festival has consistently pursued since 2024. The concept garnered international attention in specialized magazines like IDIOTEQ and Digital in Berlin.
