Palucca Dance Week Hiddensee

The 2025 edition continued the tradition of the annual dance week, which has been held since 1997. Following in the footsteps of Gret Palucca, the dancers presented their choreographies at various venues on the island—from Vitte harbour and Kloster island church to the lake stage in Neuendorf. Workshops, encounters with the artists, and an open programme in public spaces once again made the dance week a cultural highlight of the island summer.

Since its inception, the event has been considered a bridge between the renowned Dresden university and the cultural heritage of the artists' island of Hiddensee.
