Overview

The 8th edition in 2025, like in previous years, was completely sold out. Hundreds of runners completed their laps through the illuminated Paderborn Old Town, while families and friends gathered along the route to cheer on the multi-lap runners.

In 2025, the Paderborner Martinslauf once again saw a completely sold-out field of participants. In cool November temperatures, the participants ran their laps through an illuminated Old Town, lit by hundreds of lights and torches along the circuit.

The multi-lap structure once again created an unusually good spectator atmosphere: residents and relatives of the runners stood along the route, cheering multiple times per run. The run is celebrated in Paderborn not as a competition, but as a collective city event.
