Overview

The Otto-Lilienthal-Fest 2025 attracted around 2,500 visitors to Stölln for the Ilyushin "Lady Agnes." The Otto-Lilienthal-Verein invited attendees for the traditional wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial stone, followed by live music directly in front of the aircraft. Families from Havelland and Prignitz used the day for picnics on the meadow and tours inside the aircraft.

In 2025, the format remained true to its character: a Heimatfest (home festival) with a historical focus, free admission, regional catering, and a stage program in front of the "Lady Agnes." The Ilyushin itself (wedding venue and museum) remains the most striking symbol of Stölln and the epitome of the connection between Lilienthal's pioneering era and the GDR's aviation heritage.

The festival has established itself as a small but identity-defining event in the Havelland district – a must-attend for aviation enthusiasts, local history buffs, and families from the region.
