Otto Lilienthal Birthday Celebration Stölln

The Otto Lilienthal Birthday Celebration 2025 was held on May 23, 2025, at the festival grounds by the IL-62 "Lady Agnes" in Stölln. The Otto Lilienthal Association Stölln e.V. organized the traditional celebratory speech at the AIAA memorial plaque and an afternoon cultural program at the foot of the historic Interflug aircraft for the 177th birthday of the aviation pioneer.

The Lilienthal site on the Gollenberg is considered the most important memorial site of early German aviation history. Otto Lilienthal died here on August 9, 1896, after a glider flight.
