The Osterräderlauf 2025 in Lügde took place as usual on Easter Sunday at 9 PM — six burning 280-kilo oak wheels rolled down the Osterberg, followed by fireworks. Thousands of visitors from home and abroad experienced the UNESCO World Heritage live.
In 2025, the Osterräderlauf took place as usual during Holy Week and on Easter Sunday. The format with a festival concert (Holy Saturday), procession, stuffing, and the central wheel run on Easter Sunday at 9 PM proved successful again. The Dechenverein Lügde gives the tradition stability and authenticity every year.
