Overview

The 2025 Osterkirmes in Schlosspark Borbeck ran with its proven concept: nine days of spring Volksfest with rides, candy stalls, snack stands, and an Easter egg hunt for children. The City of Essen and the Showmen's Association once again reported a successful event.

Osterkirmes 2025 in the Palace Park

The 2025 Osterkirmes in Essen-Borbeck took place as usual around the Easter holiday in April. The historic setting of Schlosspark Borbeck, with the baroque palace as a backdrop, once again made the event one of the most beautiful spring funfair dates in the western Ruhr area.

The Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday once again attracted hundreds of families from Essen and neighboring towns. The City of Essen and the Essen Showmen's Association confirmed at the end of the event the continuation of the tradition for 2026 — with the same concept and the same location in the palace park.
