The Osterfestspiele Baden-Baden 2025 were the final season of the Berlin Philharmonic era. With Kirill Petrenko on the podium and a program of grand romantic opera and symphonic works, the festival provided a resounding conclusion to the twelve-year resident relationship.
2025 Edition — Farewell of the Berlin Philharmonic
The 2025 Easter Festival marked the end of an era: the Berlin Philharmonic performed for the last time as the resident orchestra of the Baden-Baden Festival. Kirill Petrenko conducted a high-caliber program that honored the twelve-year collaboration between the Berlin Philharmonic and the Festspielhaus. The season was sold out, and the audience gave the departing resident orchestra a standing ovation. With the invitation of the Royal Concertgebouw and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra starting in 2026, the new artistic era was simultaneously prepared.
