Overview

The 10th edition of the Ostberlin Poetry Slam Open Air took place in 2025 in the natural theatre of the Friedrichshagen open-air cinema. Seven slammers competed against each other, the audience decided. Hosted as always by Ortwin Bader-Iskraut and Jesko Habert of Kiezpoeten Berlin.

With its 10th edition in 2025, the event celebrated a small anniversary. The event once again confirmed its place in Berlin's summer calendar: a natural theatre under old trees on Müggelseedamm, classic poetry slam format, audience voting, and the clear hosting style of Kiezpoeten Berlin.

Slam participants and texts are not archived in the poetry slam format – the live experience is the essence, and the texts are often further revised by the artists afterward. The 2025 edition paved the way for the 11th edition in 2026 on June 13.
