Oper Oder Spree

The 2025 festival season confirmed Oper Oder Spree as the most important music theatre destination in Southeast Brandenburg. As in previous years, productions alternated between Beeskow Castle and Stiftsplatz Neuzelle. Family-oriented formats such as a children's opera, operetta, and concerts attracted audiences from Brandenburg, Berlin, and the neighbouring country of Poland. By consistently using the two distinctive venues — the medieval moated castle and the Baroque Stiftsplatz — the festival has established its reputation as an open-air music theatre event of supra-regional significance.
