Overview

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, 28 monuments in Nuremberg opened their doors — from the medieval city wall and the Gustav-Adolf Memorial Church to the Wiethaler Brewery in Neunhof and Grünsberg Castle. The program was accompanied by free guided tours from monument preservation and archaeology experts.

The 2025 edition took place on Sunday, September 14, 2025 — as always, on the second Sunday in September. In Nuremberg, 28 monuments from all eras were open: industrial buildings (7), castles and fortifications (5), sacred buildings (8), public buildings (4), residential buildings (3), and defensive structures (1).

Highlights included the Wiethaler Brewery in Neunhof, Grünsberg Castle, and the Gustav-Adolf Memorial Church. As always, all visits and guided tours were free; numerous sites offered special tours with monument conservators and restorers.
