Overview

In 2025, the Herrnhuter Sterne Manufactory once again opened its doors together with numerous other institutions for the Open Day. Families and star enthusiasts from all over Saxony and Germany took the opportunity to experience the handcrafted production of the world-famous Advent stars live.

Open Day 2025

In May 2025, the annual Open Day took place in Herrnhut. The Sterne Manufactory offered production tours, crafting activities, and live music; in parallel, the Oberlausitzer Werkstätten, the old train station with handcars, the Ethnographic Museum, and the church hall of the Moravian Church opened their doors.

Families from Saxony, Brandenburg, Poland, and the Czech Republic — Upper Lusatia is a border region — came to Herrnhut to get to know this unique combination of world-product tradition and Moravian Church history. The day once again confirmed that the event is much more than a sales promotion — it is an opening of the entire town.
