Overview

The 2025 summer series at Eckartsburg Castle included several open Sundays between May and September. As every year, volunteer castle guards offered free guided tours of the medieval hilltop castle.

In 2025, the Eckartsburg Castle team again opened the gates of the late Romanesque castle on several summer Sundays. The concept remained unchanged: free admission, three guided tours per date, and individual exploration of the castle grounds.

The summer series has long been a staple in the event calendar of the An der Finne collective municipality, attracting families from Burgenlandkreis and hikers on the Finne ridge alike.

Programme

Open Sundays from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM with guided tours at 12:30 PM, 1:00 PM, and 2:15 PM by the Eckartsburg Castle team.
