Overview

The 190th Oktoberfest took place from September 20 to October 5, 2025, on the Theresienwiese. As every year, the Mayor of Munich opened the festival with the keg tapping in the Schottenhamel tent, followed by the traditional costume and riflemen's parade on the first Sunday. Millions of guests from all over the world celebrated for 16 days in the festival tents of the six Munich breweries.

In 2025, the Oktoberfest, in its 190th edition, once again attracted millions of visitors to Munich's Theresienwiese. After the festive entry of the Wiesn landlords, the Mayor opened the festival with the keg tapping, and on the first Sunday, the magnificent traditional costume and riflemen's parade marched through the city center. In the large festival tents of the Munich traditional breweries, a festive atmosphere prevailed, while the vast amusement park and the "Oide Wiesn" attracted families and tradition enthusiasts. The festival once again confirmed its reputation as the largest and most famous folk festival in the world.
