Oettingen Jakobi-Kirchweih with Fischerstechen

The previous edition of the Jakobi-Kirchweih followed the established Volksfest format. The opening on Friday evening with the beer tapping in the market square has marked the start of the festival for years. Throughout the festival weekend, families, traditional costume wearers, and tourists took advantage of the historic old town backdrop for strolls, visits to the festival tent, and observation of the Sunday customs.

The local press (Donau-Ries-Aktuell, Donauwörther Zeitung) reported on the 2025 edition in several articles — including the boat parade on Saturday evening and the Fischerstechen on Sunday.
