Edition 2024 — Ochsenfest Poppenweiler
The Ochsenfest Poppenweiler 2024 took place in July 2024 — as usual in an even-numbered year — for four days on the festival grounds. As with every edition since the late 1950s, the ox on the charcoal grill was the centerpiece, complemented by live bands, the Ochsenfest Olympiad, and the Ochsen-Gaudi. Thousands of visitors from Ludwigsburg and the region came to the traditional folk festival.
Ochsenfest 2024
The 2024 edition of the Ochsenfest Poppenweiler took place in July 2024 and followed the proven concept: ox on the charcoal grill, live bands, Olympiad, and family program. The Musikverein Poppenweiler e.V. mobilized dozens of volunteers from the district as always for setup, festival operation, and dismantling.
Thousands of visitors from Ludwigsburg, Marbach, Markgröningen, Bietigheim-Bissingen, and the surrounding communities came to the festival grounds on Erdmannhäuser Straße. Since the Ochsenfest only takes place in even-numbered years, the next edition in 2026 is already considered a highlight in the region's festival calendar.
