The 101st Obergünzburger Freischießen took place from August 29 to September 6, 2025. Following the grand anniversary celebration of the 100th Freischießen in 2024, the 101st edition continued the tradition: nine days of folk festival with competitive shooting, a festival tent, amusement rides, a historical parade, and closing fireworks in Obergünzburg.

From August 29 to September 6, 2025, Obergünzburg celebrated the 101st Freischießen. The Schützenverein Guntia once again organized a folk festival lasting over nine days. The focus was on competitive shooting, the festival tent with its daily changing music program, the amusement park, and the grand historical parade on the main Sunday, which saw thousands of visitors lining the streets of Obergünzburg.

The traditional conclusion was marked by a grand fireworks display. With traditional costumes, floats, and marksmen from surrounding clubs, the 2025 Freischießen reaffirmed its status as one of the most significant traditional festivals in the Oberallgäu region.
