The Nostalgic Fair in Stühlinger 2025 celebrated its 30th anniversary. Four days of historic funfair with a boat swing, chain flyer, fries for 50 cents, and over 80 volunteers attracted thousands of visitors to Stühlinger Kirchplatz. A tradition since 1995, founded for Freiburg's 875th city anniversary.

Nostalgic Fair 2025: 30 Years of Stühlinger Tradition

The Nostalgic Fair celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2025. Since 1995 — when it was launched for Freiburg's 875th city founding anniversary — it has taken place every summer on Stühlinger Kirchplatz. In 2025, the festival ran for four days in mid-June with the proven concept: historic rides, nostalgic prices, association stalls from Stühlinger.

The Stühlinger e.V. citizens' association organizes the festival with over 80 volunteers — proceeds benefit the district. The organizers announced the continuation for 2026 from June 15th to 18th.
