Overview
In 2025, the Nikolauslauf organized by the Erster Kanu-Klub Neumünster once again attracted running enthusiasts from all over Schleswig-Holstein to the Einfelder See. With the proven combination of a 4 km loop and a 7.8 km lake circuit, a chocolate St. Nicholas at the finish, and a village-like Advent atmosphere, the run remained true to its character.
The 2025 edition of the Nikolauslauf ran smoothly, as in previous years, with a mix of amateur runners, families, and members of the Canoe Club. Walkers were also explicitly welcome — one of the features that distinguishes this run from more competitive races.
As usual, every finisher received a chocolate St. Nicholas figure at the finish line, and certificates could be downloaded online afterward. The event is one of the pre-Christmas must-do sports dates in the Neumünster district.
