In 2025, the Nikolai Market at the Johanniskloster invited visitors to the third weekend of Advent in the Hanseatic city of Stralsund. Within the historic monastery walls, a medieval Advent market emerged with historic stalls, jugglers, artisans, and a living nativity scene. As part of the Stralsund Christmas Market, it preserved the centuries-old market tradition in the Vorpommern-Rügen district.
