In 2025, the festival again relied on its proven format: morning masterclasses in small groups, main stage sessions in the afternoon, and a closing reception at the end of the day. Participants from traditional media industries and the digital economy used the two days for intensive exchange and networking.
HafenCity in the Hamburg-Mitte district is Hamburg's newest district and an important location for media and tech companies. The nextMedia Festival leverages this locational strength for a deliberately compact industry format.
