Neustadt Farmers' Market with Farm Market

The Neustadt Farmers' Market with Farm Market for the 2nd Experience Sunday is a very special edition of the Palatinate weekly market tradition. Unlike the regular weekly market—which takes place on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. (and Thursdays from April to October) in Neustadt's historic market square—the Sunday Farm Market offers an expanded, festival-oriented program.

The 2026 edition takes place on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The date is not chosen by chance: it coincides with the city of Neustadt's 2nd Experience Sunday, during which the entire city center is enlivened with a packed program of Sunday shopping and themed events.

In the historic market square—with the Collegiate Church as a backdrop—regional Palatinate farmers, producers, and specialty vendors will present their products on Sunday:

• Palatinate Farmers with seasonal fruits and vegetables, eggs, poultry, game.
• Palatinate Specialty Producers with sausages, cheese, bread, honey, jams, liqueurs.
• Palatinate Winemakers with wines directly from the surrounding wine villages.
• Culinary Stalls with warm Palatinate dishes—Flammkuchen, Palatinate sausages, potato pancakes, regionally inspired snacks.

On this Sunday, the farm market combines with the other events of the Experience Sunday to create a full Palatinate city day:

• 12 p.m.: Start of the Elwetritsche Race at the Floßbach in Wallgasse.
• 1 p.m.–6 p.m.: WINE.EVENT "Pink Glow in the Glass" in the town hall with rosé and sparkling wine tasting.
• 11 a.m.–6 p.m.: Shops open for business on Maximilianstraße and in the city center.

Anyone who wants to experience the full Experience Sunday will have a classic Palatinate day: Farmers' Market in the morning with Frühschoppen, Elwetritsche Race at lunchtime as a spectacle, wine tasting in the town hall in the afternoon, city stroll, and shopping all day long.
