The 9th edition of the Neuköllner Kunstpreis in 2025 featured an award ceremony at Heimathafen Neukölln and a subsequent exhibition at Galerie im Saalbau lasting about two months. As every year, a panel of experts nominated eight Neukölln-based artists; three main prizes and one purchase award were presented.

The 9th edition confirmed the format of the Neuköllner Kunstpreis: A jury of established curators, artists, and critics nominates eight artists whose works are shown at the Galerie im Saalbau. Three main prizes totaling €6,000 in prize money, plus a purchase award from STADT UND LAND.

The award is an important instrument for district cultural funding. It makes the Neukölln art scene visible and gives eight selected positions a prominent stage each year. The exhibition at Galerie im Saalbau attracted visitors from all over Berlin and sometimes internationally.
