Overview

The Nesselwanger Viehscheid 2025 took place alongside the 35th District Music Festival – a special year where the Allgäu cattle drive tradition was combined with a major music festival featuring brass bands from the region. As usual, the 'Schumpen' paraded to the 'Scheidplatz' accompanied by the Nesselwang Harmony Music.

Viehscheid 2025 with 35th District Music Festival

The 2025 edition of the Nesselwanger Viehscheid was special: the traditional cattle drive was combined with the 35th District Music Festival. In addition to the ceremonial arrival of the 'Schumpen' at the 'Scheidplatz' and the bell removal, numerous brass bands from the region featured prominently in the multi-day festival program around the festival tent at the valley station of the Alpspitzbahn.

The 'Alpspitzler' traditional costume association organized the festival together with the participating music bands, offering an expanded program of customs and music.
