Edition 2025 — Musikfest Kassel
The first edition of the Musikfest Kassel, titled "unexpected", was held for the first time in the Palais Bellevue in the summer of 2025 – with open rehearsals, artist talks, and a high-caliber chamber music program.
In 2025, the Musikfest Kassel moved to the Palais Bellevue for the first time – a change of venue that repositioned the festival not only spatially but also conceptually. Under the title "unexpected", the Konzertverein Kassel designed a format that focused on public rehearsals, artist talks, and playing with hidden program points (the "X-pieces"). The response was so positive that the second edition in 2026 continues the concept.
