The Musical Market Square Festival for Mosbach's 1200th anniversary is a premiere in 2026. In 2025, the multi-part preliminary program for the anniversary year took place — with kick-off events, the opening exhibition at the City Museum, and initial preview concerts.
Before the 2026 Anniversary Festival
2025 was the preparatory year for Mosbach's 2026 city anniversary. The city of Mosbach, together with citizens' associations, churches, schools, clubs, and partner cities, developed the festival program. An initial musical meeting of partner city representatives took place in autumn 2025. The actual Musical Market Square Festival will debut on May 16–17, 2026.
