Overview

The 2025 season at St. Mary's Church combined Good Friday Bach, the 31st Choral Evensong, seasonal midday organ concerts, and Advent concerts. KMD Karl-Bernhardin Kropf shaped the program with the choir and the Friese-III organ.

The 2025 musical season began on Good Friday, April 18, with the devotion "Music for the Hour of Jesus' Death" on the Friese-III organ (works by J. S. Bach, choral intonations by choir members). In May, the 31st Choral Evensong followed. From May to mid-October, daily midday devotions at 11:30 AM framed the organ work; afterwards, the church offered free organ tours. In autumn, concerts for the renovation of the St. Mary's organ and several Advent concerts were on the program. All concert activities took place despite the ongoing restoration of the late Gothic high altar.
