MuseumsAdvent 2025 took place on the first Advent weekend at the LWL-Open Air Museum Detmold. The Paderborn village was transformed into a Christmas-illuminated market with 42 artisans, live demonstrations, museum bakers, and a children's program. The atmosphere of around 1900 — historic houses, fairy lights, candles — remains the festival's hallmark.

MuseumsAdvent 2025

In December 2025, the LWL-Open Air Museum Detmold continued its MuseumsAdvent. The Paderborn village was illuminated, the 42 artisans presented their handmade products in period-style stalls, and the museum bakers baked fresh bread and pastries.

The children's program with storytellers and puppet shows, live craft demonstrations, and the photography workshop on Saturday evening rounded off the program. With special tickets and a shuttle bus service from the city center, the museum successfully addressed the logistics challenge.
