Review of the 148th Stadtkirmes 2025
As every year in the last week of August, rides, show booths, Kirmesgemeinden performances, and the traditional parade characterized the Mühlhausen old town. In 2025, the 148th edition ran from August 29 to September 7.
Tradition Maintained
The opening on Friday featured Kirmes cake, children's songs, and keg tapping. The parade on the first Sunday brought together the Kirmesgemeinden — from "Weg zum Eigenheim" to the marching band — and their club members for a procession through the medieval old town. A week of programs followed, before the Kirmes burning on the closing Sunday marked the end. Free admission.
