Overview

In 2025, the annual Whit Monday tradition continued with the 37th Mühlenmarkt Oppelhain. A farmers' market with regional direct marketers, mill tours, a cultural program, and family activities characterized the festival at the foot of the historic Paltrockwindmühle. Organizers: Friends of the Paltrockwindmühle / Municipality of Rückersdorf.

The 2025 edition continued the nearly 40-year tradition of the Mühlenmarkt. With its combination of a farmers' market, mill tours, and cultural program, the festival is one of the most prominent Whit Monday events in the Elbe-Elster district and the southern Brandenburg Elster landscape.

The Paltrockwindmühle — as a listed industrial heritage site — not only forms the backdrop but also the thematic focus: an example of the historical connection between agriculture, craftsmanship, and rural life in Lower Lusatia.
