Overview

The Mozartfest Würzburg 2025 took place between the end of May and the end of June, presenting around 90 concerts in the Residence, Hofgarten, churches, and wine cellars. As every year, the festival offered a program between Baroque and contemporary music with Mozart as the anchor and hosted international top artists.

The 2025 edition of the Mozartfest Würzburg continued the over 100-year tradition of Germany's oldest Mozart festival. Around 90 concerts were spread over four weeks between the end of May and the end of June, with main venues in the Würzburg Residence, the Hofgarten, Marienberg Fortress, the Cathedral, Neumünster, Käppele, and in the city's historic wine cellars. International soloists, chamber music ensembles, and large orchestras formed a program bridging Baroque and contemporary eras, with Mozart as the central anchor. The festival thus maintained its status as one of Germany's most important classical music festivals.
