Overview

The XI edition of Mord am Hellweg took place in autumn 2024 in the Hellweg region. Again over 100 events with internationally renowned crime fiction authors, resulting in the festival anthology from Emons-Verlag. Last edition under the previous festival leadership.

Mord am Hellweg XI 2024 concluded with around 100 events, over 200 authors, and strong audience turnout in the Hellweg towns. Venues included, as usual, Unna, Hamm, Dortmund, Soest, Bergkamen, Lippstadt, Werl, Werne, and Lünen. The XI edition featured renowned guests such as Simon Beckett, Anthony Horowitz, Viveca Sten, and Tatort actor Dietmar Bär. The festival anthology was again published by Emons-Verlag. The XI edition was also the last under the long-standing previous festival leadership — the city of Unna and the Westfälisches Literaturbüro subsequently assembled a new team that will be responsible for the XII edition in 2026.
