Overview

In 2025, the Gardens of the World again invited to the grand Moon Festival in the Chinese Garden in September. In the usual format between 5:30 PM and 9:30 PM, the park transformed into an Asian festival area with dragon dance, classical Chinese music, tea ceremony, children's workshops, and a concluding lantern procession. Admission, as usual, was included in the park entry fee (€9 regular, €4 reduced).

In September 2025, the Gardens of the World once again celebrated the Chinese Moon Festival on the Confucius Meadow and in the Chinese Garden. A dragon dance with the Lee Sports School, a Kung Fu show, a tea ceremony on the stone boat, and a packed workshop program for children (lantern making, mask painting, calligraphy, paper cutting) characterized the evening. The highlight was the grand lantern procession around 8:55 PM from the Confucius Meadow through the park, accompanied by the red dragon.

As in previous years, admission to the Moon Festival was included in the regular park entry fee (€9 regular, €4 reduced; children under 5 free). Thousands of visitors from Berlin and the Chinese community made the evening one of the most densely attended events of the Berlin autumn calendar — and paved the way for the 2026 edition on September 25th.
