In 2025, the festival meadow at the Monrepos Lakeside Palace once again transformed into an open-air concert hall for the Ludwigsburg Palace Festival. A large orchestra performed against the Rococo backdrop for several thousand guests — classical music under the open sky, an atmosphere that makes the Monrepos Open Air one of the top events of the festival season.

The combination of a top-class orchestra, the romantic palace setting, and the option to sit on the meadow with a picnic blanket explains the consistently high visitor numbers year after year. The Ludwigsburg Palace Festival is one of Germany's traditional classical festivals — founded in 1932 as the Mozart Festival, it is now a diverse festival featuring concerts, opera, dance, and jazz.
