The 6th Molenlauf Sassnitz took place in autumn 2025 as usual in the town harbour, concluding the running season on Rügen. The previous year's edition in 2024 had a solid participation of 181 runners — a proven small format with great loyalty from regular runners.
The 2025 edition continued the tradition established in 2020: an 800-meter children's and charity run, a walker's run, and a main race of around seven kilometres each, with start and finish at the Molenfuß-Gebäude in Sassnitz town harbour. The organisers were again the town of Sassnitz and the Tourism Stammtisch, supported by local clubs. The supporting programme on the harbour quay with food, music, and award ceremonies rounded off the sporty season finale.
At the 5th Molenlauf on November 2, 2024, 181 runners crossed the finish line — a manageable but dedicated field of participants that shapes the event's profile.
