Overview

Mo&Friese 2025 took place in early June at the six Hamburg festival cinemas. KurzFilmAgentur Hamburg once again presented short films from around the world for audiences aged four to eighteen, accompanied by school programmes, workshops, and the youth competition "Gib mir 5!".

As every year, the festival was spread across the Post Festival Centre as well as the 3001 cinema in Schanze, the Abaton in Rotherbaum, the Lola in Bergedorf, the Metropolis in Neustadt, and the Zeise Kinos in Ottensen. Mornings featured school and kindergarten screenings for registered classes, while afternoons and evenings hosted public programmes.

Films from around twenty countries in five age groups (4+, 6+, 8+, 12+, 16+), film workshops, and the competition for young filmmakers under 18 also characterised the festival week in 2025.
