Edition 2025 — Mittsommerfeuer
The Mittsommerfeuer 2025 took place for the summer solstice at Sassnitz Kurplatz. As in previous years, a large bonfire was lit by the sea in the Swedish tradition, accompanied by music and a relaxed evening between the beach promenade and the bandstand.
The 2025 edition followed the established tradition: starting in the early evening with live music at the bandstand, lighting the Mittsommerfeuer after dusk, along with food and drink stands around the Kurplatz. The event was organized by the town of Sassnitz and the volunteer fire brigade. The event attracted a mixed-age audience of locals and holidaymakers — the Mittsommerfeuer is now considered a firm fixture in the spa town's early summer calendar.
