Overview

In 2025, the 24th edition of the Medieval Market took place at Kirkel Castle – with the proven concept of over 20 market stalls, two knight camps, falconry displays, and a stage program of music and dance.

The 24th edition confirmed the event's status as one of the most sought-after medieval formats in Saarland. The organizers, the Office for Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Municipality of Kirkel, presented the usual high standard of program and logistics on the castle plateau and at its base.

Programme

Classic weekend format: Saturday 1 PM–8 PM, Sunday 11 AM–6 PM. Market stalls, knight camps, falconry, combat demonstrations, two music stages, children's program. Performing groups and minstrels communicated via the official Kirkel municipality website.
